Assistance with missing birth acts

Post by delfgill »

Hi,

I have a marriage record from Marsico Nuovo stating both the bride and groom were born in the town. However, I haven't been able to locate their birth acts on Antenati. I searched 3 years before and after for good measure but came up empty.

Does anyone have a few minutes to double check the index for me? Perhaps I'm overlooking their names.

Many thanks!

Would you also post the marriage act, please?

Thank you.

Here's the link to marriage act No. 21 (Maulella/Vignola):

I estimated Maulella's birth ~1822 and Vignola's birth ~1825.

Extract of Baptism/birth of Luigi from the Matriomonio Processetti
Birth on 12 March 1821 - baptized on 13th.

A certification of birth/baptism of Battista Vignola from the Processetti
Birth appears to be on 21 September 1823

Also in the processetti you will find extracts of the deaths of Luigi's father and grandfather, and the document from the Family Council because Luigi was a minor.

So I found a birth act for March 1821 but the child's name isn't Luigi:

I agree. Perhaps Luigi was a nickname?

Also, no record of Battista for 1823.

Yes, I also did not find her in 1824 or 1825 :-(

The extracts were from the parish church, not the civil records.

YET... here is the baptism of Nicola Maurella - no Luigi in sight.

It is the parish (S. Giovanni) that is identified in the birth extract in the Processetti

AND...
Here is the baptism of Battista Vignola in 1823 - December, not September :?
Birth on 21, baptism on 23 December
