Early NYC court records

I'm looking to find a reasonable NYC researcher who is familiar in searching though the NYC court records, from about 1880, most are held at the NYC municipal records department, probably on microfilm.

The NYC Municipal Archives are currently closed to researchers, except for members of its staff. There are two email addresses in the pdf below which might be of use to you:

I do not know of a researcher but there is an index to the Federal District Court that may help.
