Seeking information/records about a couple

Hello!

I am seeking any information or records for the following couple (the dates may not be 100% correct):

Pietro Garda, born Feb 16, 1866
and
Laura (Lorenzina) Favetto, born Aug 10, 1872. Her death record in the USA says that her parents were Martino and Minne (Domenica???)

I know they had a son Pietro Garda born in January 1892 in Italy. The rest of their children to my knowledge were born in the USA.

My biggest issued has been finding the town they were from. I'm nearly 100% confident that they are from the province of Torino but have not been able to get past that or find any relevant records.

"Garda" is most prominent in Piemonte and Lombardia. "Favetto" is common in Piemonte. So you are on the right track where Torino is concerned...

According to a family tree on Ancestry.com, Junior was born in Ivrea, Turin, Piedmont. His WWI draft registration just reads Turin. Worth researching further.

rlw254 found Lorenzina’s birth record but have yet to find Pietro’s. Possibly that’s where he was born?

I have not seen Pietro in any of the places I've looked but I can keep poking around. There are many small villages in this area to check.

Before 1866 you will have to use church records which will take significantly longer but these records in the area go back to the 1500s, although they contain much less information generally.
