since you wish to start a family tree you must have read what is involved and know where to start which is at the end and work backwards. When seeking documents from towns of origin write to Ufficio di Stato Civile and enclose self addressed envelope with $5.00Euro in cash coupon or intn\'l bank check. Italian language form letters can be obtained thru www.circolocalabrese.org/resources/letters/index.asp or www.italianancestry.com in part 3 for form letters. Peter
