Hi Maria!
Welcome to the Forum :D !
Perhaps we could start with a ship's manifest?
There are a lot of Maimone families on the US
Census. We need a few more clues.
Where in Italy did Francesco Maimone come
from? Do you know about when he left and
perhaps his birth date (or a guess)?
Thanks! Valarie

I checked the white Pages and there are at least 70 Maimone families in New Jersey. If you narrow it down a little, I'll be happy to help in a New Jersey search. The Maimones in Monmouth county, NJ were home builders.

Hi thanks for reply
My great grand-father and his brother were from Capizzi (Messina).
He was born in 11/07/1882 and he left alone without his wife but his brother left with family. I have got some brother's letters about of 1946,1957,1958 for my grandmother because she always tried to find her father. I have got cutting newspaper with an address:MAIMONE BROTHERS 125 Markham Place - Little Silver NJ
I also have got a lot pictures
Thank you so much

Ciao Maria,

Your English is very good. My Italian is terrible.

I have a couple of questions which might help us locate records and possible contacts.

There were two brothers who emigrated from Capizzi Messina, Francesco Maimone and Antonio Maimone.

Francesco was born on 11 July 1882 and was married before he came to the US. What was his wife's first name and maiden name? Do you know the approximate year Francesco came to the United States?

Antonio came to the US either with his wife Annunziata or she came to join him later. What was Annunziata's maiden name? What were the names of Antonio and Annunziata's children who were born in Italy?

When Francesco and Antonio came to the United States do you know in what cities and states they might have lived?

What is the relationship of Giuseppe, Salvatore, Domenica, Giacomo, Santa and Frank to Francesco and Antonio?

Biff

The wife's maiden name is Benedetta Maimone (same last name). She doesen't go to the USA.My great gradn-father left about 1913 with his brother, Antonio's wife (annunziata) left later.
Unfortunately i don't know Annunziata's last name.Antonio's children maybe were Salvatore, Domencia, Giuseppe and Giacomo.
I don't know if Frank and santa are antonio's children and i'don't know if were born in Italy.
Then they were Francesco's nephew.
Domenica married and last name is Palumbo, she has got 2 children: Teodoro and Giovanna that in 1954 they had been about 5 and 8 years old maybe
They lived before in new York, later in new Jersey (Cedar Grove and Little Silver)

Bye Bye
