Concordia or Concordina?

Post by tgriddle »

I have been trying to research my great grandfather for years with not much success. He was an orphan from Turin, Italy as far as we know. Even his name has been elusive. On his marriage certificate, it looks like Stefanos Concordina. He somehow aquired the name Joe Sefeno when he arrived in the US in 1892, which he went by for years. On his naturalization certificate, his name was Stive Concord. On the 1910 census, a Luis Diveto is living in his household, 15, who is listed as a nephew from Italy, but this "nephew" married Stive's daughter. Luis Diveto has documentation in the US that states he was born in Rocco(?) Piemont (?) Italy. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I might go next to find info? I can't find him on the lists at Ellis Island in 1892.

If anyone has any suggestions, I sure would appreciate it.
