Cousin was a Priest in Italy

Post by Last »

I was told by one of my cousin that in our family was a priest. Our family from all that I can see was from Montefusco. Is ther a way to write to a church that could research the last name of PARENTE that was a priest from Montefusco?

You can check for the local parish here:
http://www.parrocchie.it/index.html?CCH ... bella=&id=

or the Archdiocese here:

Try the Google-translated versions of the sites. Not perfect, but you should be able to figure it out.

As to the priest in your family, I think it goes without saying that nearly *every* Italian family includes at least one Roman Catholic priest. :)

Translation sites are far from perfect, but you will be able to make some sense out of it all......by using the following site, you can copy and paste any website and translate it:

hope this helps,

In this link enter the name of the town in the box that says "citta"
click on cerca......this will bring up the name of the church.

Here is a guide for writing letters to Italy, or if you prefer, you can ask for a translation of your letter and one of our Italian members will be happy to translate for you.

Did your email include one or more attachments of any kind? Many email systems will not accept an email which is larger than 1 MB or so, and attachments (scans, jpg's, etc) can easily push you over the limit.

I personally have never recieved a positive response from an email query,
but I believe that some members have. So.....it's always worth a try.... Nothing to lose, and worst case scenario, you send it snail mail.......

If the email contained no attachments, then it is possible the inbox is full, as some email boxes have limits on available space.
