Hi Theresa...

Here is what I could find:

1910 Census
http://img75.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... cefut5.jpg

1920 Census
http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... cefnm3.jpg

1930 Census
http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... cefwq9.jpg

There is a record in Massachusetts of a birth of a Concetta Merlini, Vol 487 Page 96 in Boston in 1899. Imagae not recorded but you can get this record. If you note in the census, Concetta listed as born in Massachusetts.

I couldn't find arrivals for Francesco or Annie or son Salvatore as of yet. Chance Annie and Salvatore came in through Boston. Nor could I find a WWI Registration for Frank.

There is one for a Charles:
Name: Charles Merlino
City: Providence
County: Providence
State: Rhode Island
Birth Date: 20 Nov 1897
Race: White
Roll: 1852409
This could be Salvatore...not sure, but date matches and he stated closest relative was Frank Merlino.

Found these in the Rhode Island Records:

Birth Records:
Anna Merlino Francesco Merlino Anna Merlino 24 Aug 1905
Giovanni Merlino Francesco Merlino Anna Merlino 20 Aug 1903
Maria Merlino Francesco Merlino Anna Merlino 28 Aug 1907
Giuseppina A Merlino Francesco Merlino Anna Merlino 13 Oct 1913

Death Records:
Name: Mary Merlino
Kin 1: Francesco Merlino
Kin 2: Anna Merlino
Death Date: 14 Oct 1906
Age: 4 yrs

Hope this helps. Will continue to look.

Have a great day, Susan

A couple of manifest possibilities
for Emilio Ferro.
Valarie

According to 1920 census that suanj :D
found on your other post,
Emilio may have immigrated in 1914
(after son Frank was born).

Is this the Ellis manifest you & suanj found,
that indicated an Emilio that was single?
July 1914 Ferri Manifest
page 2
2 Jul 1914 SS Verona Naples to NY
Line 17
Emilio Ferri, 23 (abt 1891)
- single
- in hospital
- possible naturalization notation 7-125093 7/31/39
- last residence, Fara Filiorum (Fara Filiorum Petri, Chieti, Abruzzo)
- father Antonio in Fara Filiorum
- destination Binghamton, NY
- joining brother Giovanni
- born in Foro?

and another one from 1914, married...
may have spelling error on first name
April 1914 Ferri Manifest
page 2
14 April 1914, SS Celtic
Line 30
Emidio? Ferri 23 (abt 1891)
- married
- last residence Civitella (Civitella del Tronto, Teramo, Abruzzo)
- destination Rochester, NY
- joining brother Camillo
- born in Civitella

Valarie,

A belated thank you for your research - can't believe it was in 2007 and I am wondering what I was doing since then. Also to Suanj for the census .... and many others (Essgee).

The second person is indeed my grandfather. I called my Aunt Zeffa and she said that Grandfather's brother in East Rochester (noted on Page Two of Manifest) was named Camillo - the family there retained the Ferri surname.

Also noticed two Capriotti brothers above Emidio/Emilio's line - might be relatives of my grandmother. I will print out copies of the manifest to give to relatives.

Hope to get back here to help out some - our local library has access to Ancestry so I can use that. There is a Family History Center here that I might visit to help a classmate too.

Thanks again,

Dave
Ferro (from Ferri), Capriotti(TE); De(i)Marzio, Nervina(o), Colucci, Gatto, Testa(CB); Basile(BA) ; Bianchi(AQ); Augello, Bissi, Iacono(AG); Pisano(), Impaglia () Friends looking also: Vivenzio (SA); LoPiccolo(PA)-seems to be Lopicolo originally
