Knighthood records

Post by Saracen » 25 Nov 2007, 16:15

Hi all.

Within my wife's family there is a legend that an ancester (Rinaldo Casanova) was "knighted by the king of Italy". He was born in 1846 so I would guess it would have been around the turn of the century (1900)

It appears from some Googling today that becoming a Knight in Italy is quite a common affair, so are there accessible records available which would prove/disprove this tale ?

Hi.

I saw the thread but it doesn't give any information as to locating records of knighthoods.
