Rinella-Scalia

Post by Jsks916 »

Some new info regarding my grandfather, Tony Rinella. I still have not found anything on his parents, but I do know they were from Corleone. I don't think they ever came over to America though. How can I obtain information regarding his parents?
Thanks all!

You could go to your nearest Family History Center
to order and view the microfilms for Corleone and/or
Termini Imerese.
Finding the correct family in the correct town-
A problem could be the number of Antonio Rinella’s
born in 1891...
Antonio’s WWII Draft Registration Card & Naturalization
document do list his birthdate as 19 May 1891
1942 Card

Also, the Rinella family naturalization documents
Summit County Naturalizations
list Antonio's birthplace as Termini Imerese

A bit more info from the
Rinella Family Naturalization documents
Summit County Naturalizations
Note: Catherine's Declaration is under Rinelia
You can search by just typing in the first few letters
of the last name for a more complete list, including
mis-spellings

Antonio & Catherine were married on
3 Jun 1914 in Akron

Summit County:

Note: there are naturalization documents for
possibly related Scalia family on the
same website

Also, where did you find a copy of the draft card? That would be interesting to add to my books.
Thanks.

Oh my, I thought you had it already.
It's from ancestry.com.
I'll post the second page in a bit - not much
on it, but nice to have.
I'll see if I can reduce both sides so it will print ok.

Thanks for giving me that. I don't have a membership for ancestry.com. Its kind of expensive for me right now.
