Catanese/Fornelli

Post by juh02 »

I'm searching for any information on my family (Catanese) who resided in PA and moved to Ohio. My grandfather is Frank who married Alberta Gretz. He had sisters Angie, Jennie and Mary and half siblings Carmela, Josephine, Dominic, Atilio and Anthony. There is a relation to a Micale somewhere in there, but I get a bit confused.....

Secondly, I am searching for any information on Fornelli's residing in Mexico, more specifically Chihuahua. My family has since moved from there, but I'd like to see who's left down there or if there are any of us up here, although they would be very distant because I'm not quite sure how far that goes back. Any help would be appreiated!

I honestly have know idea who I'm related to. I'm 1/4 mexican with a small bit of italian in it. My mother's great grandmother or grandfather's surname is Fornelli and they lived in Mexico. I'm trying to find out the links to Fornelli but no one in my family knows much. Do you have any relation to mexico?

A quick check of the directories for Mexico does not disclose any businees or family named Fornelli BUT....They have an e-mail that will check the name for you if you feel that there may be a name you seek and cannot find it.. The e-mail is soportebusqueda@publicar.com and you can write in simople english or perhaps in Spanish thusly: ESTOY BUSCANDO UNA FAMILIA FORNELLI EN CUALQUIER PARTE DE MEXICO...you name and e-mail address. Hope this works!! =Peter=

Dear Juho2 The e-mail address I gave for Mexico telephone directories is not operating at this time. I did a quick check and so it will not be worthwhile sending them an e-mail.

There are two references to Fornelli In Mexico and Chihuahua, specifically. Go to www.familysearch.org under ancestor search and just put in FORNELLI and nothing else so you will see the 2 in Mexico, one born in 1905 and another born in 1826. =Peter=

Hello, My name is Thomas Anthony Goetz I'm from Pennsylvania, born in Ohio. I'm a member of the Saturday Family, of a Grandfather Dominic, and Great Grandfather Paul, To even a great aunt Mary, to Great Aunt Caramel. Through the days and nights I look to trace the family gene to the names of how and where all split to form a new generation of life.. To my Days to know more to more with the ones looking to time to find their family gene. Peace be with you in the name of Christ.

Thomas,

Do you have any more names? I am unaware of anyone named Paul in my family but perhaps that is from your other side? Dominic, Mary and Carmela are all names with which I am familiar but are somewhat common as well.

My great grandfather Dominic died May 1, 1975 according to the death records I can find. He had several children, not quite sure of the order: Mary, Jennie, Frank, Angelina, Dominic, Antonio, Atilio, Carmela and I believe one more girl whose name escapes me at the moment...

My Grandfather was Anthony Saturday brother of Dominick, Sister Carmela, and Mary Lou. My mother is Mary Elizabeth. Daughter to Anthony.. My Grandfather died in 1975.. records online isn't correct.. seen that too.. States he died later.. when it was January 16, 1975. I'm trying to find the facts for you cause the names all are in Family of my Mothers. I'm trying to work out the tree.. the family reunions are big/split and all over Ohio, with name changes from marriage too.. So its a little tough to break it down.. Goetz is my Father's side... Saturday is Grandfather on Mothers side.
