Help with alternate spellings MAGURNO

Post by mjones »

I am having trouble finding a James Magurno in any of the US Census records. He was born abt. 1909 in New York City, but I haven't been able to locate any record to corroborate that.

Any help with possible mis-spellings would help.

Thanks,

merjones

I found a marriage record for a James. Is this the person you are looking for?

Thank you so much for the marriage information. Yes, that is my James.

And Biff, the James Magurno that arrived in 1933 is mine. He was born in New York so he must have gone back to visit family.

It's frustrating to know that I should be able to locate this family in the 1910, 20 and 30 US Census, but I haven't had any luck so far.

I checked Heritage Quest without any luck. Perhaps you can trace him by the address ont the manifest (Biff might be able to help with that. Or perhaps by his social security record.
