Velletri Notary Archives (Lazio)

Post by MarcuccioV »

Does anyone here have access to the notarial archives of Velletri (Lazio, south of Rome proper)..? I don't think they have been digitized (yet). It is possible it was part of the province of Frosinone at that time.

I'm hoping to maybe find some spotty info on some of my maternal relatives from prior to the civil records era (1871-). I know things like business contracts, home/land sales, wills and dowry info (along with various other legal transactions) were all recorded through the local notary (in Velletri for the town of Valmontone).

If not I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they eventually get scanned and digitized...
