1821 historical help, pls

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

it's the same image. i am not sure which link works better.

these two death records are from 1821 from Ariano di Puglia. they are examples of many other death records in that year (especially in the month of august) of soliders from Battalion of Austrian Hunters, who died in the town's military hospital. all the surnames are German.

my question is from any particular conflict? ongoing fighting during Risorgimento?

thanks for your help with the history lesson
