History of Luzzano

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

History of Luzzano

Post by AmandaP » 14 Aug 2019, 03:07

Hello! Where can I learn more about the small town of Luzzano? I'd like to learn when the town was founded, who some of the first settlers were and maybe how people lived their daily lives. My ancestors are from luzzano and most them were farmers, i would love to learn what exactly they farmed. The whole name is Luzzano, Moiano, Benevento, Italy. I've tried looking online but only seem to find tourist/vacation information. I've also checked two local libraries and they have nothing on the specific town I want. Thanks for any help!

Some information here
http://italia.indettaglio.it/eng/campan ... zzano.html

Luzzano is a frazione (hamlet) of the Comune of Moiano.
Here is a link to the history of Moiano. It is in Italian, but you can use a page translator if you do not read Italian.
