Mysterious profession

Post by jwazevedo »

On a birth certificate (atto di nascita) from Como, I couldn't decipher the profession of one of the witnesses. I've attached a clip from the atto. Can anyone make this out? Thanks!

Another reference that I like is at:

http://immigrants.byu.edu/Downloads/Ita ... efault.htm

Section D of that guide has an extensive list of professions.
