From the birth record:

Angela Maria Nicoletti was born in Pedace on March 15 1860 to Giuseppe and Vincenzina Guarascio.

From the request for marriage banns dated July 28 1883:

Giovanni Salvtore Bonaro, farmer, aged 24, son of Pietro, farmer and Tommasina Cozza spinner.

Angela Maria Nicoletti, spinner aged 23, daughter of Giuseppe, aged 54, and of the late Vincenza Guarascio, spinner. (In the birth act the name was Vincenzina).

I believe we have a connection.
I have a Tommosina Cozza married to Pietro Bonaro from Serra Pedace.
Tommasina's parents were Domenico Cozza and Rosa Innocenza Staine.
Rosa 's parents were Carmine Staine and Maria Nicoletti.
I am researching the Staine family from Pedace.

Thanks,
Joann

Yes we definately have a connection.
Anthony Bonaro (my husband) born in Niagara Falls, NY
His Father John Bonaro born in Niagara Falls, NY
His Father Antonio Bonaro born in Serra Pedace
His Father Giovanni Bonaro born in Serra Pedace
His parents were Pietro Bonaro and Tommasina Cozza
I just found Tommasina's parents on this website the other night:
http://88.59.143.158/ascs_web/login.faces

You do have to register but it is free. It seems to only be the Consenza
area records.
So now I am going to research the Nicoletti and Stain families also.
I am Valerie Bonaro and my husband is Anthony Bonaro we live
in Jacksonville, FL. Up until I found this site we were using microfilmed
documents from Salt Lake city, UT that I could not even read.

I am trying to find out what Spinner means. When I try to translate it
they just say Spinner. Also bracciale.

Nice to meet you Joann

Hi Valerie,
You can contact directly at joannsalvo@aol.com
I am happy to share everything I have with you.
I am registered at the Cosenza website.
Most of the information I have is from the Family History Center.
I have the Staine family going back to about the 1700's.
Bracciale is farm hand or laborer.
I have Pietro's birth record and marriage record to Tommasina that I can email you with the translation.
I know they had at least 2 children: Felice and Giovanni Salvatore.
I live in New Jersey.
Happy to meet you too.

Take Care,
Joann

Antonio
Tommasina
Luigina o Virginia
Luigi
Marietta

The only birthdate I have of Giovanni comes from his marriage certificate to Angelina.
They were married July 28, 1883 and he was 24 so I have him born
around 1859
His birth record listed on:
http://88.59.143.158/ascs_web/consulta/ ... heda.faces
only has the year 1858 so that is the closest I have.

His son Antonio Bonaro was born in Pedace May 3, 1897
He is the grandfather of my husband.

His daughter Tommasina was born 1894 in Pedace. She married Salvatore Scarcelli in North Bay Canada 19 April 1913

Antonio and Tommasina both came to North Bay Canada. Antonio
then settled in Niagara Falls, NY and Tommasina died in south FL.

I have Giovanni's wife's birth record and their marriage certificate. If you would like them give me your email and I will send them to you.
Thanks
Valerie
