Hi all, hope someone can help me with this enigma :
It concerns baptism registers of Florence in the 15th century, in this case the one for 16th December 1465 :

On the 4th line it says :
"Francesco et Alexandro di Piero di Lapo del Tovaglia"
This concerns my ancestor Francesco di Piero di Lapo, but I don't understand the "et Alexandro" bit.
In every baptism record there is a "et" addition of some kind, "et Domenico" "et Antonio" "et Romolo" etc etc etc
Is it the name of his patron saint or something, or maybe the name of the person performing the baptism? Hope somebody can enlighten me on this one!
