On June 3rd, 1819, following the usual posting, on the days 13, 20 and 23 of May, of the marriage banns of Santo DiLiberto [groom], a legitimate son of the deceased Pietro DiLiberto and the deceased Lucia Santorello, and Antonia Minasolo [bride], legitimate daughter of the deceased Giuseppe Minasolo and of the living Caterina Venenzino, the Priest Don Lorenzo Quartana of the St Stefano Church, joined them in marriage. Witnesses Paolo Bisaccia e Vincenzo Pillisteri.

Torre Cajetani is a comune inthe province of Frosinone in Lazio region.

Caetani is the name of a family from Gaeta Sicily.

There is no apparent first name for either comune or family name -=Peter=

I've seen the name Cajetany on numerous birth and marriage records from
Sicily. Here is a marriage record showing the groom's name, Cajenty.

If possible, can someone (Luca) translate this record. I am having a problem ascertain the names of the couple's parents.

Grazie!

You should provide a larger image.... this one is almost unreadable, btw it is contains a series of baptism records, not a marriage record.

On the right side the number 26 is the baptism record of Cajetanus=Gaetano Gallina. Record's date is June 26, 1941. Gaetano is son of Antonino and Giuseppa (Josepha) Marta.

The surname of Gaetano's mother could be Manta.

Thanks, Livio!

i think the bride is Di Liberto. remember another post, where I was having a problem withthe name Santorelli or tamborelli? I think this bann helps me to substantiate that the name is Lucia Tamburelli. All this digging helps....

Can u do another? I am using the banns to determine earlier generations.

Indirectly addressing your question, a Google search for Cajetany turns up this FamilySearch record for "CAJETANY ALSUTH", a male born in Prussia (?).

Also, perhaps more interesting, a Google search of "Cajetan" shows us that this is an important name in the Roman Catholic church, with a Cardinal (Thomas Cardinal Cajetan), a saint (Saint Cajetan), and at least one US church (St. Cajetan in Chicago, IL).

Also, from ThinkBabyNames.com,
The boy's name Cajetan \c(a)-je-tan\. Variant of Gaetan (Italian) "from Gaeta".

Cajetan has 3 variant forms: Cajetano, Kajetan and Kajetano.

Cajetan is an uncommon first name for men and an equally uncommon last name for both men and women. (1990 U.S. Census)

Thank you! Research has led to to believe that Cajetany is GAETANO based on similar records for the same name. Your latest note has help me to confirm that fact, and I am very much appreciative of your help!

Hi all,
Need help, again please.

http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... nellad.jpg

I believe that Cajetanny Gallina and Providenza Cannela Di Valenti are groom and bride.
The groom's parents are: Gaetano and Philippa Billetti.I am having a problem with the bride's parents. I believe I see the name Giordano - but I am not able to translate the words before the first Valenti and the next appearance of Valenti. I also think that Providenza was married to a Valenmti prior to her marriage to Gallina???
Your help is appreciated because I am finding several brides and grooms with the same names.
