help translating writing on photo

Post by rareblu » 13 Mar 2012, 22:20

My father gave me a picture of my great great grandparents and it has writing in Italian on the back. I haven't had much luck with the online translators and would appreciate any help. it reads: "Ai Nostri cari zil e fam- Perchenci Conoseono e Ricordano- Sante- Mimma- Santilli" then underneath in different handwriting it says "Com tauto Tauto offettr Vootro infoto Mi Mung"

Could you upload the image? Better for us to view the actual handwriting :-)

Try using http://postimage.org/ or some other photo-sharing site....

This is my interpretation:

Ai Nostri cari zii e fam[iglia] Perché ci Conoscono e Ricordano- Sante- Mimma- Santilli" "Con tanto Tanto affetto Vostro in foto Mi Mung"

To our dear uncle (and aunt) and family
so that they know and remember us.
Sante and Mimma Santilli

With a lot, a lot of affection, your, in the picture, Mi Mung (could be a nickname)
