Terms for property in catasti onciari

Post by lcafarel »

Can anyone point me to a resource for translating the various terms describing types of property in the catasti onciari? I'm not sure if I'm reading some of these correctly, but examples include facciommi, isca della cattiva, fosso morrone (a named ditch?), si carica and si discarica. I haven't been able to find useful translations in my Italian-English dictionary or online. See attached example.

Thanks.

Column "denominaz. della proprietà" shows the place where property is; so there you will find names that can't necessarily be literally translated. "Ivi" means "the same as above". "si (s)carica" should be "(dis)charge", as I see they compute the sum of values in the columns, but I couldn't say what they exactly mean. It is probably some charge/discharge of taxes.
