1840 Marriage-Nicola Girardi

On 23 January 1840 before Girolamo Piccolo, Mayor of the Comune of Cervinara, Dstrict of Avellino, Province of Ultra, appeared Nicola girardi, age 28, born in Cervinara, profession of laborer, living in Cervinara, son of Antonio Girardi, profession of laborer, living in Cervinara, and Vittoria Casagrande (?),livning in Cervinara, AND Fortunata Cioffi, age 23, profession of farmer, living in Cervinara, daughter of Pietro Cioffi, profession of carpenter, living in Cervinara, and Maria Faliano (?), living in Cervinara.

Married in the church on 2 February. Witnesses: Michele (?), and Michele Bove (?).

Witnesses: Raffaele Bianco, age 30, profession of (possidente) landowner, living in Cervinara
Giovanni Gallo, age 30, landowner, living in Cervinara
Nicola Oillaie (?), age 30, profession of (?), living in Cervinara
Bartolomeo Defiricone (?) age 40, profession of (?) living in Cervinara

Vittoria's surname is Campano
Maria's surname is Juliano

Witness Nicola's surname is Villani
Bartolomeo's is "de Simone" De Simone-possidente-property owner

Ambrosino- surname of church witness Michele

Can you see what the profession of Nicola Villani is? (on of the witnesses)

He was a "scribente"; I suppose he was what was also called "scrivano", a person who wrote for others who were not able to do it.
