Dated 30 May 1869 at 4 PM at the town hall in Alia
Before the official appeared
Salvatore Miceli, son of deceased Rosalino, age 41, farmer residing in Alia, to present to the official a baby boy that he declared was born that day at 10 AM to his wife Francesca Esposito, daughter of uncertain parents, of age 30, living with him in the place then inhabit in the Sapatello(?) quarter. He presented the child for recognition and the child was given the name Giovanni.
Witnesses to the recording of this act: Sig. Loreto Montaquino, son of deceased Francesco, age 54, farmer; and Sig. Antonino Martino, son of deceased Francesco, age 26, farmer.

The surname of the witness Loreto was Montagnino.
