Post by JOHN08 » 29 Mar 2013, 06:46

My translation of the birth record for Bernardo Mizi:

At the town of Atri, on the 13th of April 1866, appeared: Giovanni Mizi, age:41, son of deceased Bernardo, profession: shoemaker, living in Atri, presented a male baby on the 13th of April 1866, born of his wife Elena Ferrante, age: 36, profession: spinner, named baby: Bernardo.

Witnesses: Raffaele Iezzi, age: 40, profession: ?, and Domenico Iezzi, age: 22, profession: ?, living in Atri.

Appreciate any corrections/additions.

Both witnesses were bricklayers or masons. The occupation listed is muratore. The first witness, Raffaele, was age 50 and not age 40. Other than that, the translation looks good to me.
