it is a birth record....right above the name it reads "atto di nascita di.." -- birth act of ....

for whatever reason i cannot expand the view to see the record.

i have found this link helpful in my own research and learning to understand and read the records. it might be useful to you, also.

Yes, it is a birth record...

Dated 4 February 1866 in Frigento
Father: Francesco Famiglietti, 37, peasant farmer
Mother: Antonia Cirello, 35, peasant farmer
Child born on the 3rd, and given the name GIOVAMBATTISTA
