Translation Help Please

Post by AngelaGrace56 » 27 Aug 2013, 22:07

Looking at Index 10 Toscano Nicolo Maria: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... n330442076

I just need help with one word please. What is the word before mese – I can’t decipher it?. Nicola was born on the 15 of ? mese. Can I please have both the Italian word and the translation for it. Thank you. Angela

Sorry, not sure how I managed to post this twice. Maybe this second one can be deleted if there is no reply to it. Am a little unwell at the moment so obviously not functioning properly. :)

The word is volgente. It is less common than corrente, but still means "current month." I can't seem to access the record at the moment, so whatever month is on the top of the record is the month to which the word volgente is referring.

Feel better.

Great, thanks for that Erudita. I've never seen that word before but am familiar with the word "corrente".

Shall dope myself up with good old ancient olive leaf, vit c, echinacea and zinc - they usually work wonders together!

Angela :D
