Based on census records where Donato's first son was named William and his first daughter was named Marion, I believe this is your Donato's 1902 Boston immigration record.
Lines 18-22
Travelling with mother Marianna Tedeschi and siblings Maria and Orazio DePiano, and aunt Maria Grazia Tedeschi.
Age 5, year of birth about 1897
Destination Boston to join father/husband Pellegrino DePiano.
Last residence Santa Lucia di Serino, province of Avellino.

Yes thank you William and Marion were his first children. I don't know why I never found that record but I appreciate you taking the time.

Since there is no indication of the town of birth, I would try Ellis Island records. He obviously arrived here before 1924 so you should be able to enter his name and birth date and view a copy of the ship's manifest which will tell you where he lived in Italy.
Hope this helps.
