The record is dated Sept 25, 1874 at 11 a.m. Appearing at the town hall to declare the birth was Filippo Martorana (correct spelling in the town), son of Giovanni, age 26. He reported that, on the 23d at 8 a,m.,his wife Teresa Toscano (the surname in the record looks like Toscane, but Toscano is the surname there) gave birth to their daughter, Anna Maria. Teresa was age 21 and the daughter of Giuseppe.
