Dated May 21, 1888 at 9:20 a.m. in Frigento

Appearing was the prospective groom, Vitanonio D’Avino, age 31, peasant in the town. He was the son of Angelo Michele D'Avino and deceased Maddalena Cipirano. The prospective bride was Anna Martone, age 20, a peasant as well. She was the daughter of deceased Giovanni Martone and Donata Flammia, a resident in the town.

Witnesses were Alfonso Pelosi, age 29, property owner, and Giuseppe Giordano, age 51, usher*.

Publications were made on the 6th and 13th of May.The bride’s mother gave her consent. The spouses and the bride's mother were illiterate and did not sign below.

Note that the word usciere (usher) can have other meanings:

baliff, janitor, doorman - bellboy, court usher, doorkeeper
