Reading A Birth Record Date
Reading A Birth Record Date
I am hoping that someone can read the date on the posted birth record. I copied the record from Ancestry and did not write down the year or the date. I want to go back and try to get a clearer copy so that perhaps I can ask for a translation. I am hoping it is my husband's grandfather Luigi Lorenzo. Thank you. DeMari

I agree with TerraLavoro - February 1877 and the day of record is 16th and day of birth is 15 February 1877.

Re: Reading A Birth Record Date
You are welcome. I'm sure one of the board members who subscribes to Ancestry.com would be happy to post it here for you. If you just write down exactly which province and town you were looking at along with the child's name someone will be able to locate this for you. Because it is a February birth hopefully it won't take too long too find - as long as the records are broken into years. It is worth a try and will save you a trip out. I'm sorry I don't subscribe to Ancestry.com. Good luck.
