Meaning of the nickname ??

Post by monke »

Hello,

my grandgather was not from Italy but he had a nickname he carried all his life.

It would be written in Italian as ''Fregno''.

I don't know the meaning but one man told me that it was italian word for man who likes women or some women's parts

I don't know is that true because i can't find the proper italian word for. Fregno is not the italian word i just wrote how the word sounds in italian.

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me from which word does nickname derrive ??

Thank you all in advance

Cordiali saluti

Monke

The feminine of Fregno is a bad word to indicate "that" woman's part.

I'd add that "Fregno" is mostly used in the center of Italy to mean "that thing" (not only women's part mentioned above, but just something of which you don't remember the name - for instance, they say "pija quer fregno" to mean "take that thing"). "Fregnone" = Big "Fregno" is also meant for not particularly smart guys.
