Requesting Authentication of Baptism Certificate

I am writing to the Italian parish, requesting a baptism record.

The certificates (I will request 2 copies) requires authentication of the Curia Vescovile, according to the directives of the Consulate.

So, please tell me if this sentence is correct:

[...]
"Vorrei apprezzare che i documenti sono stati autenticati nella Curia Vescovile di Savona."

What do you mean by "apprezzare"?
I'd say "Ho necessità che i documenti siano autenticati dalla Curia Vescovile" ("I need"...etc.)
