Giuseppe Famiglietti, 30, and Guiseppe Cocchiola, 63, both contadini living Frigento reported that at 6.20 am today at a house in Contrada Valle di Conti, No 10, Maria Rosaria Cocchiola died. She was a five year old, contadina, born and residing Frigento, daughter of Marciano, contadino and Filomena Cocchiola, both living Frigento. She was nubile (unmarried).
Witnesses: Nicolangelo Abbondandolo, 38, and Filippo di Leo, 68, both contadini , living in this town.

Thank you, Angela. I have found in some of the records, that the mother's surname (maiden) is the same as her husband's. Do you know if there were a lot of inter-marriages back then?

Happy to help Dolores. There definitely were inter-marriages in my Italian towns, first cousins marrying first cousins, and even in my family as late as the 1960's. Yes, it certainly happened.
