Grazie for your help, Tessa. I so appreciate any help in deciphering this document. I have him being born about 1779 in Montelepre, P, Sicily.

Glad you were able to post it :-)

This will need at least a second set of eyes because of the fading...
Here is what I see
Date is 19 March 1779
Child given the name Giuseppe (Josephus) Antonio (Antonius)
He was born the same day (?) to Girolamo (Hieronymus) and Anna Maria Licari, married couple.
Godparents(?) appear to be Antonio and Catarina Carruba, married couple.

We are so appreciative for the translation. Which words state he was was baptized the same day he was born?

It is the other way round, the document is a baptism certificate which states that Giuseppe Antonino was born the same day (hodie natum=born today) he was baptized.
