For you info, along the via San Giovanni, there is or was (not sure if this still exists) a complex system of Roman tanks used for collecting and distributing waters from the upper part of the village to the valley. Water was collected and then conveyed through a duct or canal for distribution to the valley.

the word "pozzi" is the plural of pozzo and means "springs or wells"

One other piece of info I came across, in case this interests you, Dolores. Recently, there was discovery of the distribution conduit between via San Giovanni, where the Roman tanks are located, and Via San Pietro, where there is a thermal plant.The thermal plant probably dates back to between the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D.
