Thanks so much, mfjp & suanj.
mfip, Did you rotate image @ imageshack or some other way?
suanj, I think you are right with "Tagliasellario."
I'm new to this site and am finding it very helpful!
Thanks again,

Re: Deciphering Occupation - I give up!
Hi jcsm400... thank you for your reply...
I was able to download a copy of your file... was able to open it but just couldn't rotate it... (which was odd)... took a computer monitor "screen shot" instead..... opened up the "screen shot" as a pdf file which I then exported it as a jpeg file... from there I used Photoshop to rotate the image... and then went to imageshack for a new link...
Piece of cake!
By the time I finished linking the new file... it was already transcribed!!

Hi all,
Tagliasellario doesn't convince me.
Maybe with a larger image...

Hi Incipit,
Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts here, but don't stop there....
What do you think it might say? We always appreciate opinions and yours is most welcome!
I have no opinion, since I can't read it, so I won't comment at all but I am always interested in someone else's. That's what makes this forum different from others. You identified a possible mistake, help fix it so we can all learn from it!

Re: Deciphering Occupation - I give up!
Hi Nuccia
I've not identified any mistakes, as you say. I've only suggested to post a larger image (in my opinion the whole document would be very useful), because in palaeography sometimes only the comparison between letters gives the solution
It's only my opinion, nothing more...

Hi Again,
Fair enough! Your point is well taken.
Maybe jcsm400 can post a larger image?

Hi suanj,
I've said only that your suggestion didn't convince me, what's the problem?
I will give my suggestion, as you can read by yourself, if a larger image will be posted.
