Hi Donna

I'm not 100% sure that the first letter is an "l" but if it is, then this might help: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reader_(liturgy) (Reader/Lector)

(My understanding, from my parents, was that years ago Catholics were not permitted to read the Bible for themselves. Only the priest was allowed.)
