Translation help: 1873 Birth Record

Post by Sanford » 19 Oct 2018, 16:38

My great-great-great grandmother Anna Presti was born in Montaperto in 1873. I successfully found her in the birth registry book (which also mentions her future husband Angelo Farruggia), but I am having issues reading it. If someone could translate it, I would be forever grateful :)

Record #28 - dated 3 July 1873 in Montaperto
Appearing before the offficial was Gerlando Presti, age 25, farmer residing in Montaperto, to declare that on 2 June of the current year, at 5 PM, was born to Alfonsa Alonge, age 17, residing in Montaperto, his legitimate wife, a female child who was presented to the official and to whom was given the name ANNA.
Witnesses to the recording of the birth were Salvatore Maggio, 27, municipal clerk residing in Montaperto, son of unknown parents; and Ferdinando Montalbanodi, 37, son of deceased Emmanuele, plasterer(?), both residents of Montaperto.

Margin notation of her marriage to Angelo Farruggia on 6 November 1902.

FYI -There is a possibility that the date of birth MAY be July, and not June as stated in the record. Generally, the birth was declared within 3-5 days.

NOTE: I posted other records including the births of Anna's father, Gerlando, and Angelo's father, Giuseppe, in your other thread. :-)
