Ricciardi marriage to Maturo

Post by khoney » 16 Mar 2019, 23:31

This couple had at least 5 children prior to their marriage, Maria Giovanna, Giovanni, Vencenzo, Angela Maria and Concetta Afortunata. I do not see the names of the children recited in this document. The youngest two daughters used the name of Ricciardi when they emigrated to the United States.

Is there something in the marriage record indicating Vencenzo acknowledged the children?

I believe only the two daughters, Angelamaria and Concetta Assunta.

It states "The couple also acknowledges that of their union were born two daughters, ... the first named Angelamaria reported on May 3, 1885 and the second named Concetta Assunta, November 22, 1889." No mention of other children.
