Im interested in understanding the Russo record, last one on right side of page. Rosa Russo is the widow of Antonio Votta, why is the child under the name Russo? Also a translation of the record will help.

Thank you

1 more thing, Is the child's name Angelo? It looks as though Angelo was written incorrectly , then added above very lightly.

Yes, the child's name is Angelo. I can't quite catch all of the words at the moment, and am on my way out, but I believe the reason why Angelo has been given the surname of his mother is because his father is ignoto (unknown).

Thank you,

I know this couple, they were married 10 years prior and had only 1 child I could find. And now this child. It says she is the widow of Antonio Votta, but I can not find a death for him with in the months of this child being conceived. I would hate a padre ignato scenario for him. It is tough enough making this connection into my family.

Here's Antonio Votta's death record. I'm really sorry but I can't do anymore with this tonight. Have to be up really early tomorrow. Have a full day ahead of me. Top right-June 25, 1744
