difficult to read names

Post by cj11788 »

Hello again,

Here is another one for the experts.

The below link is for the marriage and index for Antonio Damiano and Sabella Evola from 1571. It's challenging to read the parents names. For Antonio it looks like his father is Pietro but I'm not sure what his mothers name is. For Sabella her fathers name looks like Antonio but Once again I'm not sure about her mothers name. In addition the index has her name as Evola but I've never seen a name like that. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

I'm not sure about Pietro, but I'd say mother is Fiorenza ("Flore(n)tiae").
As to Sabell's parents, I'd say Antonio and Antonia.
Evola is still present in Sicily, and it might be correct.
Can someone check?
