Marriage record translation

Post by mtmcdonough »

Hi. I have a marriage record and I need help translating the names of the bride's parents. I cropped the jpg image to make it smaller.

The bride is Josefina Granzotto from Oderzo. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Giuseppina Granzotto was the daughter of Francesco Granzotto and Onoria Montuori.

Tessa,

Hi. Could the bride's family name be Montiron? I got that information from a very distant relative.

Thanks, again, for the help.

Montiron is a very rare name in Venezia...not impossible.

Montuori is a surname found in Oderzo.

Do you have the marriage record? The surname may be clearer on that
(This is the publication of intent to marry that you posted.)

Thanks, Tessa. I do not have the marriage record but I was just sent an image of the grave marker for this couple. It shows the woman's name as Monitron. See attached.

Thanks for your help.

That is certainly proof that the surname is Montiron :-)
