Hi again everyone,
looking for some more translations for a birth cert.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... at=1019419
I am thinking it is the grandmother, Lombardo, that has registered the birth for the daughter and son in law, Dodero, but I could be completely wrong.
Thanks in advance,
John
More help please for Dodero birth Cert
Re: More help please for Dodero birth Cert
The declarant, Marianna Lombardo, is identified only as a 66yo housewife residing in the town. There is no indication of a relationship to the parents.
The child, Felicina Maria Anarina, was born on 17 October 1894 to Domenica Maritano, wife of the deceased Felice Dodero.

Re: More help please for Dodero birth Cert
Thank you Tessa,
I know that the mother-in -law was Marianna Lombardo, mother of Domenica Maritano, married name Dodero, from their marriage cert.
I don't yet have a death cert for Felice Dodero but, assuming it is his baby, this would make his death 1894. It now also helps give an approximate date for the birth of Marianna Lombardo as between 1828 and 1829.
Thank you ever so much for your help again, it is much appreciated,
John

Re: More help please for Dodero birth Cert
Sorry Marianna Lombardo was the mother of Felice Dodero not Domenica Maritano.

Re: More help please for Dodero birth Cert
Tessa, you are amazing, thank you so much, I have been trawling so many records over the last week trying to find info and it has been dropping in little by little now. Previously these records I could only access by visiting one of their library's as they were 'locked', then there was the start of the lock-down and I could do no more on it...then last week I was able to access from home as they were suddenly unlocked
No doubt I will be posting more requests for help as I try to get as far back in my tree as possible.
Thank you again and have a lovely evening,
John

The child, Felicina Maria Onorina, was born on 17 October 1894 to Domenica Maritano, wife of the deceased Felice Dodero.

The index clearly shows Onorina https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... at=1019419
Re: More help please for Dodero birth Cert
Thanks again, my Grandmother was named Onorina, perhaps after this aunt
Re: More help please for Dodero birth Cert
Livio, thanks for the correction
My first impression was Onorina. I should have gone with that.
