TRANSLATION?

Post by Gina501 »

:?: Can someone please tell me if I have this correct?

Ciao,

Voglia gradire i miei sinceri saluti.

Gina,
Maria Nicola is a man or a woman? (in Italian Maria is feminine while Nicola is masculine...). Are you sure about the name Inngid? This doesn't sound to be an Italian name?

Hello. Maria Nicola is my great-grandmother. That's what's on her vitals. As for her father, Inngid, I do not know the exact spelling of his name. Maria Nicola's death record should be coming to me in a few days and I will know the right spelling. Thanks.

Livio, if you don't mind, I would like to add one more line about Maria Nicola Trella. I would like to say that she had two brothers named Antonio and Domenico that also emigrated to the United States. Can you please translate? Thanks so much!

Here it is:
Maria Nicola aveva due fratelli, Antonio e Domenico, che sono anche emigrati negli Stati Uniti d'America.

I would put this sentence beore the second paragraph.

Livio, I have a question. The name Inngid Trella which you said is not an Italian name, is the name I got off of the lds.org website. I am sure it is just an error in transcription. But I have no guess of what Inngid might be. Do you have any ideas of an Italian first name that sounds like Inngid? I cannot find any records for him until I know.
