Translation of Short Letter from Naples

Post by jenalonso »

If anyone can help me with this...I would truly appreciate it. I received a letter from Naples in response to my request for more information on my family.

1st part:

2nd part:

Can someone please tell me what it says? Thanks!!

I'll let someone else give you the full translation but basically, the priest can't help you, and neither can the other.

Parr. S. Caterina a Formiello - Napoli,gennaio 2008

Ms Jennifer,
we are a little bit late in answering your letter because we ere busy in the search you required.
We are sorry but we cannot give you any news about your relatives. The names Nostrame and Mangiacapre are not registered in our books. I don't know where you should go, however I can tell you that you may request the birth certificates to the
Anagrafe Generale, Comune di Napoli
Via Parco Quadrifoglio
80100 Napoli

I was appointed to this Church rather recently, therefore I did not have the chance to meet people that speek English or that may help in this research.

I wish you all the best in your research
