passport notation help

Post by dvaccaro »

linked is a scan from the italian passport for Francesca Truglio.

the page shown lists children to be travelling with her, step-daughters Angela Catalano, 15, Ninfa Catalano, 12, and son, Vito Catalano, 2. Ninfa ultimately did not make the voyage and as you can see, her name is crossed off.

what i need help translating is the short notation under the three names, "Cancellota..." i can figure some of it out, but i would like to know exactly what it says, if possible. hoping it might give a clue as to why Ninfa stayed in Sicily.

Cancellata la figlia Ninfa perchè non parte più con la titolare. Marzara 14 febbraio 1907.

The daughter Ninfa was withdrawn because she is not leaving with the holder (of the passport). Marzara, Feb 14 1907
