Anyone been to Casalvecchio or done any research about their relatives there? I plan on going there in October and see where my grandparents lived. Their name is Andreano. Did some research and found out I had 2 more great uncles which we never even knew existed. Would love any information about the town if possible.

I'm assuming you are referring to the town of CASALVECCHIO DI PUGLIA
The Comune of Casalvecchio di Puglia has a population of about 2000.
http://en.comuni-italiani.it/071/014/
There are currently 7 listings in the Italian Phonebook for ANDREANO in Casalvecchio

You may wish to write to one or more of these "potential" relatives...

Re: Casalvecchio Italy
Thanks for that info and I'm way ahead of you. I did write to all the Andreano's a while back and actually got a hit from a distance relative. They sent me a photo copy of a shipping label of items that where shipped to relatives of my Dad's in 1944, It was a shock to us as we didn't know that my grandfather had 2 other brothers.
Now, I haven't heard from any of them recently although I did mail a letter to them telling them about my upcoming trip there. If I don't hear from there, got any idea on where I would start looking for family history in a small town like Casalvecchio?
Any idea's on what information I should bring with me for research? Or any other hints on doing research in Italy?

Address of town records office:I suggest your write to both the local priest and the town, telling them what you are looking for and giving the dates you will be in town. Take a copy of the letter with you when you go. Thy may not have done anything with it but they will be more likely to help you with a copy in your hand. Write in Italian about one month before you go. Have a great trip. Take the potential relative with you if possible.
