I have encountered a peculiar situation and I am unable to obtain verification.
Pietro Agriesti b 1785 had a wife abt 1803 named Lucia D'Aiuto, they had 9 children from 1804-1823
Pietro Agriesti b 1785 same parents had a wife name Gaetana Cavalieri in 1816, they had 7 children from 1817-1830.
I am completely stumped not knowing if there are 2 Pietro's born the same year.
Has anyone ever encountered a situation such as this?
Any suggestions?
The LDS does not go back this far to obtain birth records nor does microfilm in their collection.
I can't imagine a man having 2 wives in the same village.

Do you have images of the records about Pietro? If you can post them, we could help you tell if they are twor different persons or the same.

According to the family history I have, Pietro Agriesti and Lucia D'Aiuto were my great, great, great grandparents. My information says that Pietro was born about 1780 and died before 1847 and Lucia was born about 1781 and died on September 13, 1829. I also names 11 children of Pietro and Lucia. I would not be surprised if there were two Pietro Agriesti's born in Castelluccio around the same time.
