Where to write for a record?

Post by James Graham » 26 May 2016, 14:16

I am researching my gggf, Pasquale Spaccasassi.

His marriage ban says he is born in Massignano. And that is it.
I wrote to Massignano, Ascoli Piceno. They responded in one day.
The response states that there is no record for him and they completed a search
for years before and after 1846, his DOB.

Are there any other Massignanos to check?

frazioni-or hamlets with the name-as follows
Erudita

Massignani, comune of Valdagno, Vicenza, Veneto
Massignano, comune of Ancona, Ancona, Marche
Massignano, comune of Massignano, Ascoli Piceno, Marche

http://www.comune.valdagno.vi.it/comune ... emografici

http://www.comune.ancona.gov.it/ankonline/

comune.ancona@emarche.it

Comune di Ancona
Largo XXIV Maggio 1
60123 Ancona AN
Italia

The email address for Ancona is listed online as a PEC email address, even though that does not appear in the email name. If that is the case, it won't work for you.

Just after I wrote Ancona I received this note from Massignano.
Either they don't have records from 1846 or they are not housed there.

They're saying that they can't process your request because the 1846 birth records are not housed there. BUT, unfortunately, they don't tell you where to search for them.

Andrew here again. I've got another song you will definitely want on your label, because this one is going to be a smash hit. My mate Barry reckons it will reach number 1 and he knows what he's talking about because his dad owns a record shop.
