The WWI draft registration has the place of birth for Peter Zangaro: Cittagia, Palermo, Italy. There is no town listed in province of Palermo with this spelling. Thanks for any help.

Re: Cittagia, Palermo, Italy
A guess. Correct surname is Zangara. Place of birth Geraci Siculo. See 1905 manifest below, lines 10-12 showing a Pietro Zangora with sister Rosa and mother Maria going to Passaic to join brothers Benedetto, Antonio and Giuseppe.

Pietro Paolo Zangara 1893 birth act #131
Presented at the town hall of Geraci Siculo on the 10th of October, born on the 9th.
Father Pietro Paolo, 60, a farmer; mother Maria Bricana??

I agree. As a Bivona myself, I'm pretty good at recognizing it when i see it.
Researching Gibellina, Sicily surnames Bivona, Bonafede, Zummo, Ponzio, Bevinetto, Beninati, Fontana, Cipolla, Bruno, Manfrè, Lanfranca, and Navarra

I am new here. I searching for the Zangara family. My great grandfather Domenico Zangara was born in 1864. He married Anna Maria Logalbo. Does anyone have information on the Zangara’s? Can you translate this document for me? I am visiting Sicily in April and would love to find homes, churches etc. of my ancestors.

If you post the document someone will take a look at it for you. Also, I would start up a separate thread for this topic. Can you tell us which town in Sicily your Domenico Zangara was born in, and any other information you already have about him and Anna Logalbo (or is it Logallo?).
